The Section 502 Rural Housing Guaranteed Loan Program is about to get back on track.  The goal is to issue single-family mortgage loan guarantees by the middle of the month, says U.S. Rural Housing Service Administrator Tammye Trevino.

To all members of the 400 North Board of REALTORS® - the Nominating Committee recently met to review the nominations for Officers and Directors for 2011. In accordance with the Bylaws, the Committee reviewed the vacant positions and has approved the following Slate of members to fill the vacant positions. A special meeting has been scheduled for Wednesday, September 8th at 11:15 am to hold the election of these new Officers and Directors and to vote on the proposed bylaws changes.

Please join us at the Achasta Golf & Country Club for the Annual Auction, "Starry Nights... Put a Twinkle in a Child's Eye." The Auction is an energizing event that consists of a silent Auction, live Auction, live entertainment, full buffet and a cash bar. It is a great event for networking and is open to the general public, not just the real estate community. Once again, this year's proceeds will benefit Forsyth County Child Advocacy Center, Angels Over Forsyth, Dawson County Family Connection and Lumpkin County Family Connection! We are trying to raise $5,000 so please join us to make this event a success! Tickets are only $15 if purchased by September 30th!

Each member is invited to attend an upcoming local orientation whether it is required or not as a refresher course on what Board benefits are available. Each member who completes all of the following between July 1, 2010 and June 30, 2011 will be placed into a drawing to receive a free membership for 2012: attend one (1) local orientation training session, attend one (1) education class offered by the association and attend at least two (2) member functions. (The Board of Directors will be ineligible for this drawing.)

The purpose of the tournament is to help our area communities in this struggling economy and let the community know that we as REALTORS® do care and are looking out for them. We hope to raise $6,000 and provide six well deserving families with mortgage payments for a month. The proceeds will be divided equally among Forsyth, Dawson and Lumpkin Counties. Families will be selected by drawing from among those buyers who purchase a home between January 1, 2009 and June 30, 2010 and used a REALTOR® member of the 400 North Board.
